Hi all! I am new to saddle hunting this year and I just learned about this forum. I have been using my Aero Lite Hunter Tree Saddle from New Tribe all year and love it. I use (4) LW quick steps all with aiders and completely covered in stealth wrap. I even wrapped my biners, buckles, and ring of steps as best I could but still safe to use. I have implemented a pretty solid system in short order I do believe.
I was also able to harvest my first saddle deer on Nov 18. I have passed on may does and little bucks as my 14 year old son fills the freezer! Finally, a shooter came into range during MO rifle season and I was able to harvest a 164" 5.5 or 6.5 yr old brute. It has been a goal of mine to put my rifle tag on an archery kill and I was able to do it and it was my first saddle kill AND it was on public land!
What an experience. I will try to upload pic, but this is my first time on this site.
To hear the entire story of our exciting public land camping trip that led to this harvest, tune into Dan Johnson's 9 Finger Chronicles around 12/8. I will try to post when its up.
Thanks for reading about my first saddles season. Now, to bag another buck form my saddle!
