Latitude Rebel Platform Initial Thoughts

After using the Rebel on several hunts including one in a light rain I can attest the platform is as solid as my EDP and I didn't find it slippery when wet (note, I've added a paracord cobra weave around the parameter).

This is a good platform, but not much of an improvement over the EDP. The weight savings aren't too noticeable and the lower profile is nice, but not something that I had a major issue with the EDP.
Taking all things into consideration I don't think the extra cost, compared to the EDP, is justified unless you really need the lower profile to accommodate how you carry the platform.

What I'm really excited about is the LWCG .5 I just got and using it with my saddle...

I just skimmed the 8 pages, and realized we don't have a real world weight on the rebel without strap.

Anyone have it and a scale they trust to see if the manufacturer was accurate or not? The x-wing came in a few ounces over what their website says.

It's weird their site still have the CAD estimated weights when they now have production models they are selling that they could weigh for us.

Mine weighs 2.9 lbs without the strap and 3.2 with.

They need to lower the button. Lousy job field testing those platforms.

Anyone have an update after running this platform? I see they are on sale at the moment. I don't see anything there that makes me want one for the price even on sale. Unless you guys who used them have a $250 dollar reason.

Nothing too great about it. I ended up selling mine and got an X-wing.
I tried the Hunt Arsenal platform and I think it's superior to the Rebel.
