So should I buy it? I only have the 4th arrow head.

Sent from my Galaxy S8.

Nothing wrong with the 4th Arrow. The Manfrotto is heavier. That's a great price tho. I'll let you decide if you "need" it :D I wouldn't say it's better than the 4A

The 128rc is smoother than the 4th arrow (and the 700rc2), especially on the low end. The 128rc is heavier and slightly larger than both. It all depends on where your priorities are. If weight is everything you can go all the way down to a Manfrotto Befree.

I had a Manfrotto 500 AH before the 128rc. That was smoother yet, about the same weight, but much bulkier. The 128rc also worked better in freezing conditions since I could stick a hand warmer in the fluid head pocket and wrap it with an old sock to keep it silky smooth in sub zero temps.

I had lots of issues with mine freezing up during cold weather. You could do what you
Said with a hand warmer but I always seemed to forget one for it lol. I use the 700rc2 now and it doesn’t freeze up at all. It’s smaller/lighter and all I need for the small cams I run. In warmer weather I prefer the 128rc because it’s smoother, but it is for sure heavier. Anything Manfrotto is good really!

Interesting. Mine gelled up reasonably consistent with Manfrotto specs. -4F for the 128rc. 14F for the 700 rc2. Regardless, both I baby when temps get in the single digits.

My previous post comes off hard on the 700rc2. It's a great head. I've yet to find a small size fluid head that performs well in cold weather.
