    I have been using a sandbag to supplement some workouts for a few months. Really like the variety you can get with it. Presses, cleans, squats, rows, deads, etc.

    How many camp instead of paying for cabin or hotel.

    Tent camp on every out of state trip I’ve been on. This past season, 7 nights during deer season, and 4 turkey season. I do it as simply as I can. Cheap Tent, air mattress and sleeping bag. Typically get a shower at loves every other night.

    Buck Limit In Your State

    Mississippi - 3 buck limit. 3/4 of the state they have to be 10" spread or 12" beam. Delta Region is 12" spread or 15" beam. I'd prefer a 2 buck limit. Would also prefer a higher antler requirement. Overall, it hurts. But much fewer people in my part of the world shooting 2 year old bucks now.

    The silver lining for the deer is that the water level didn’t just suddenly rise this year. Most have been displaced for months and months.

    My advice is to find an area you can get to fairly easily and be able to get to year after year, something that offers terrain that you're comfortable hunting in, and an area that offers multiple possible hunting spots. Know that wherever you go, you're going to encounter other pressure...
