Going out again tomorrow for what will likely be my last hunt of the season, unless I can squeeze another quick after work sit in (unlikely). Snowed a few more inches today so hoping to have some good movement tomorrow.
Likely going to do all day outing again (unless I *fingers crossed* shoot one in the AM) in a tree that gets me towards where the AM group came through in the AM on Monday, and then a different one to catch the PM path to bedding I saw Monday afternoon as well. If I get out there and see a ton of tracks in the snow I may adjust, but going off my Intel from Monday's all day sit I think I have as good a plan as I've had any other day, and I've got a few hot hands left over to help me stick it out. Looks like another day in the 20s, I need to double-check wind forecast to confirm my plans (edit- wind direction looks like this plan will work) but I'm hunting in rolling hills/streambeds next to a larger body of water so thermals always seem to play into it too.
Goal is an if it's brown it's down hunt, whatever comes within range is hopefully getting a lung piercing, I'll shoot a doe fawn if it doesn't have spots(they likely won't this time of year). If I can use my bonus buck tag even better, but not gonna be picky as it would be fantastic to close out the season with one more deer of any type, so I'm taking the first opportunity I get (if I get one).
