We've been working hard the past few weeks to come up with some big changes to our vendor policies to meet the changing needs of our community. Please see the new vendor rules here:

I'm curious to see if any saddlehunting vendors would show up to this outdoor show in southern IL. Does anyone know how to tag or forward this to tethrd, outonalimb, etc?
Has anyone broken fiber while splicing their amsteel? I was just using a fid and completely broke a strand of fibers in my 5/16 amsteel blue.... is this normal?
I have a DIY saddle and its my Mark V, I feel like it's built and sewn just as well as any manufacturers but I just want a good way to test it past what I can physically do it while wearing it in a tree. So I guess my question is whether you guys just beat the hell out of it in the tree, or hook...
Just bought some 5/16 Amsteel Blue to make an adjustable "whoopie sling" bridge. Has anyone else done this and like it? I'm waiting on the Amsteel and just wanted to see some examples of how long, loop sizes etc you made with it. I would make it a fixed bridge but I like the idea of having one a...
Finally finished my fifth diy saddle.. I call it my pants saddle, truly looks like you're wearing a pair of strange looking pants :p
Essentially it's a kestrel clone and made of all recycled materials from old harnesses, old pair of hunting pants, and some blackout curtain material which is...
Made my own saddle from all spare parts. The material is polyester from some old curtains and its super strong. Alot of cheapo harnesses that come with stands. All it cost was $40 for the sewing machine and $10 for the good thread and alot of practice injectin thread.
Sent from my iPhone using...
Have my own DIY saddle and am thinking about sewing up another pouch or pocket for gear. I have a dump pouch on the left hip for my tether and my lineman belt. One on the right for tools(steps, limb snips, calls, etc) the one on the back is just an extra one for a water bottle. I guess my...
What does everyone shoot? I shoot a 2008 PSE x-force super short, 26"ata, 65lb, walmart speedfreak arrows with 100 grain brass inserts and ramcats. I'm just curious if anyone uses super cheap equipment and have some bows they have been shooting for a long time.
I've got some heavy duty bolts used to attach crossarms to power pole(about as strong as grade 8) I'm not worried about the strength. but i want to put them in a very, very big tree. like a 3ft diameter tree. I have some screw in steps in it now but i'm basically straddling the tree and spread...
Just an old sturdy hang on ladder section with a welded expanded metal "shelf" on the top for a nice place to put your feet flat. Used some old scrap metal and cost about $20 on facebook for 5 sections. Gonna get some heavy duty straps make semi-permanent on some pre-set trees for the season.
Has anyone used on of these along with a saddle? Seems to me it would go nicely with the Kestrel and not in the way like a normal backpack would be with your molle pack on your back. I could also see having your smaller things you wouldnt want to keep in your bag in the first place right at hand...
Anyone ever considered a safe, efficient, accessible, and stable way of carrying your bow on your back? I feel like we havn't come up with much better solutions then elberstock style packs and bowslings.... I know it sounds like something from a video game but it certainly be nice carrying your...
I decided this year to try out saddle hunting this year after listening to a podcast with the great John Eberhart. Being a "DIYer" like most other guys on here I figured I could make my own saddle and make my own climbing rope, etc. Here are some pictures of my custom saddle, after a practice...
