CGM Cobra VS Cruzr XC - Bulky Camo

Have been running the cobra all season in central to northern Minnesota and use the Sitka fanatic line when temps dip. I as well have a 34 inch waste and have a size one. I’ve had zero issues with the bulkier clothing

Rope Vs Web Cobra buckle belt

Can’t speak to the comparison between the two, but I purchased a cgm cobra this past summer and have been very pleased with it. Came from a latitude method 2 and the rope belt option was something I was specifically seeking. To me it carry’s the weight better than a buckled belt and I haven’t...

    Official Hat and facemask thread

I Second the firstlite wool neck gaiter. I use the 250 weight personally because my bottom base layer has a 120 weight face mask built in that I use when not as cold out. But then for beanies the Sitka stratus or fanatic beanies are great (dependent on how cold your looking for). Yes expensive...

    Team 11 Thread

Things are just starting to get kicked off here. Had a shooter come in at gray light last night too a few soft grunts. Hung up in the thick stuff and snort wheezed at me. Right once legal light faded he came into the field and proceeded to make 4 different scrapes and tear the trees to living...

    Team 11 Thread

Got out last night and had one small 6 come in and hang around for awhile. Fun to watch em for awhile. Need these temps to drop to get the big boys on their feet early.

    Looking for your broadhead opinions

Yeah, dale perry was the original maker of the gravediggers. They garnered a pretty good following while he was at the reins. He sold to bloodsport and that’s where the part that I can’t confirm or deny on the degrade in quality in the heads. But he waited for his non compete clause to expire...

    Looking for your broadhead opinions

If you like the grave diggers, while I have no personal experience with either, the original maker of those heads sold and made evolution outdoors and in turn the Jekyll and Hyde broadheads. I’ve heard from multiple people that they’re an improvement from a tolerance and blade durability stand point

Lone Wolf Custom Gear review - The fix and the company

Had a buddy that ordered one around the same time as you and experienced similar service for a good 2-3 weeks. He received a phone call the Monday evening before the Saturday opener and they apologized up and down and offered the give him the ambush for the same price as the fix. They next day...

Poll - How much does your kit weigh?

Right around 17 pounds with everything. 2tc. cuts down on weight substantially. Was around 12 with a smaller Fanny pack but just couldn’t deal with just cramming stuff in. Had to switch back to a smaller day pack and that inherently added a few pounds and I added some small luxury items with the...

    Team 11 Thread

Central Minnesota here. Just opened up today and season runs to the end of the year. Have 2 young ones at home and also trail bird dogs along with bird hunt a fair bit but get out with the sliver slinger as much as I can. Usually good for a couple does, and have a few decent bucks running around...

How are you hanging your bows?

I use a hys strap and a hero clip. I go up through one webbing loop and down through the next or skip one with the clip so it hold the clip solid on the strap with tension. Then turn the hook perpendicular to the clip and tree and hang my bow. I’ve never had issues getting it off like that

Questions for you 2 panel guys…..

Spent the last 2 seasons in a method 2 and for the most part liked it very much. Went that route for the features it offered, ie.. magnets for the transport mode, rope belt, and vertical support webbing. Very comfortable, definitely was a learning curve on how to adjust everything properly to...

Thumb release issue during early season

I personally don’t do it but know people that buy sticky backed sand paper or grip tape for skateboards and put 1/4” wide strips in each finger slot with good results
