Yea there are free primitive campsites out there but I’m not sure how long you can leave a camper. I’m down to rough neck it either way.I’m up for a week or long weekend group hunt if y’all want to go. As long as the group stays small. Nutterbuster got me thinking of finding a camper spot to put my camper for the season at Bankhead.
That muskie in your profile is huge!!! I have tried to catch one a few times but I have been unsuccessful. I had maybe a 36-40 incher next to the boat but he got off in the netting process.
I gotta get started with my hunting prep but I have been so busy at work, around the house, and prior to that we were dealing with my daughter's injury. Maybe this post will be what I need to get the thread injector started and bow out.

Next world record muskie will come from St Lawrence River. They are yuge thereThanks! That’s my personal best, 46 inches!
Hey schmeiske meister,i might come see ya for a hunt if you are up for it. i am only an hour or so from your area. Or if you are interested in coming up to my area that would be swell. This will be my first year on state land,so i dont have a big inventory of spots yet. I did scout some areas.I’m from NY and would love to try hunting somewhere else, but I’ve also got lots of public land around me if anyone wanted to try this way. I also chase muskies around here and wouldnt mind trying that somewhere new.
I haven’t, but would love to find a group to hunt with near me!Did anyone on the teams in the past trade hunts with team members or hunt with team members (instate/out of state or otherwise)? I’d be real interested to host team members or maybe even go somewhere none of us have hunted and see what we could do.
Y’all may think I’m crazy, I know the wife does.. she says I keep meeting strange people on the interwebs like @bamaxander @Kenbama @iamcorey @swampsnyper and @Nutterbuster
I got a boat and canoe this year and am looking forward to some all day hunts with water access.
ever make it up north more hit me up, im always down to have a hunting partnerI haven’t, but would love to find a group to hunt with near me!

There is a camper friendly campground just a few miles from Bankhead but it may be covered up with hunters during hunting season. Its off Hwy 33I really need to get my camp out the yard and back in action. I’ll just hammock on primitive sites.
If she blows she goes.I hate that whistle... worst noise ever!!! I mean, that’s what I’m told... I’ve never heard it myself!!!
I have done that trick a time or two myself. Works awesome in gun season, ya just need them to move in the open and they generally will looking for the blowing deer.If you blow back at them, sometimes they’ll come over and let you shoot them.
I’ve hunted the TN side. Yes, monsters. But it has been a few years since I have hunted there. I have some great memories in LBL.Ive always wanted to go hunt the Land between the Lakes region in Kentucky. Supposedly some giants around there. Beautiful area too.
we can’t all be Dan Infalt. My wife thinks everyone is a serial killer too.....
I've even looked into AirBnB up there since I dont have a camper. Probably wouldn't appreciate me skinning a deer in their yard though. So....I’ve hunted the TN side. Yes, monsters. But it has been a few years since I have hunted there. I have some great memories in LBL.
October 1st in some spots.
