They sell tree stands there I think it would be highly unlikely they would want to have a tree saddle event there.

I saddle hunt and have every type of stand on my property. Four of which I purchased this past year. They also sell archery equipment and beer. Seems like a perfect place.

Quick question is there going to be a demonstration of one sticking and rappelling down the tree? I am already doing the one stick method. I plan on practicing the rappelling down the tree this summer. For the record I already saved alot of one sticking and rappelling youtube videos but I would like to see it done in person.

If I can attend I will also demo rappelling, but this will be my first year one sticking and rappelling, so no guarantees.

I’ll plan on making it and can give a practice run of one-sticking/rappelling, too. Although I’m sure @Wirrex has been doing it better and for longer than I have (just last year). You’ll feel confident in it in no time.

Tore my patellar tendon a couple weeks ago. May or may not be driving by the time this thing happens.
Should be good to go by October thankfully.

I just drove through half of Wisconsin. You guys have too many deer. Many of them large. I think I should come to this meetup and help with that situation.

Yes large deer here I have killed 180 pound dressed out does. But can you tolerate the cold weather to get one if you're not successful during the early season? Late season bowhunting is usually below freezing for your high temps.

License prices are fairly cheap for our of state hunters. Lots of public land to boot.

It’s a great destination. Especially in the fall. Our season opens mid September so no cervids will be harmed in the making of this years episode of the Wisconsin Saddlehunter Meetup.

It would be fun to do a group camp event like Saddlepalooza (but for deer since we don’t have pigs up here) but it is hard to get guys to commit once season opens.
