If you are luckily enough that your kiddos interests align the most fun of all will be all their firsts and their growth! If their interests are different it gives you a chance for a new view.Complete the Redeye Bass Grand Slam. Completed the Mobile Basin Redeye Slam last year and had a blast doing it.
Complete the Georgia Black Bass Slam. Catch 5/10 of Georgia's Black Bass
Finish catching a fish on the fly in every county in Alabama. 21 counties left out of 67.
Finish book on above.
Take kiddo on her first canoe trip.
Buy as little crap as possible. Throw/give away as much crap as possible.
I’ll be heading up to Idaho if it works out.
You should feel better about being able to out run him if the need arises. Silver linings!!O-7 so far in elk draws. Plus, my bear hunting partner just snapped his leg in half. So far it been rough.
Man, I was inspired by all your out of state hunting quests and decided I would start applying next year…but if you didn’t get a tag, I never will or be to old to pull a bow back when I finally get one.O-7 so far in elk draws. I can come carry your hunting bag for bear however, I run a decent clip for an older dude.
Sounds like a good plan man! I’m bad about “oh it’s 80 degrees” or “ahh it’s 30mph winds” just gotta go sometimes. Even on crappy hunts you can learn a lotI'd love to have opportunities to hunt some of these out of state hunts, different species, etc but it just doesn't appear to be in my cards at this point in my life. So for now I'll have to stick with the local whitetail deer. We have Elk draw hunts here in TN, but the way people talk, I've got a better chance of hitting the lottery and being struck by lightning on the same day than drawing an elk tag.
My 2024 plans are simple - just get out there on any opportunity I get. I missed some chances to hunt last year and don't want to do that again. I can't kill a deer if I'm not out in the woods, no matter how much gear I've purchased.

I drew Kansas. First time to go hunt there.Kansas results are out …first time being unsuccessful in the draw there was 8/8 before this year
Hope it’s cool to even ask but how much money do you think you have in application for those 8 hunts a year?I just got notice that I drew Kansas but the e tag was in my profile last night. 1 for 8 and Colorado to go. There is always a chance!!
