The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. 2 petzel carabiners.wraped with tubular webbing and an elastic tether stopper break. On 8 mill oplux
What kind of hitch are you running with that rope combo and how's it work out for you?
@tailgunner u no I luv u but for goodnis sakes tie a stop-her knot on ur tag ins Ur usin carabiner for the tree so u hav no exscus not to usem
@tailgunner im surprised that you don’t use a mesh saddle of some kind with as wet as u get where you hunt. Would really reduce time to dry in between hunts but more importantly reduce weight in water ur carrying in the saddle when it gets wet
@tailgunner is a roofer, he’s gotta be used to a toolpouch = walking around with a heavy butt all day

All I know is that my rope was wet and I sat down too quickly (dynamically loading the hitch) and I slid about a foot or two down the tether inches from the end. It wouldn’t have taken much more to slide right off. It would also be stupid to slide right off. Tie a stopper knot, no exceptions on this one.

No problems using 7mm prusik cord on 8mm Oplux? I’ve always found that I had to be 2mm smaller to get a good consistent grab. Obviously It’s working because that’s what you are using. No issues?

Its polyester it dont hold weight like nylon....or stink.mesh dosnt suport well.and gets pine needles in it

Its so lite i use an elastic waist belt.and its cumffy like sweats.that i can run in.i might be the only person who hunts with an elastic waistbelt.thats adjustible....without metal.
