2TC/One Stick Hybrid Climbing

I assume you'll post a link to the video, I can't wait to se Mamie Van Doren's outfit for the reveal!

Now I’m even more excited for this video demonstration… I had never heard of this person either.

A few years ago, I had an idea to combine SRT with one -sticking. It was a great idea in my head, but didn't work out, I am hoping your idea is much better. Anything that improves one -sticking is great!

Correct so 8ft turns into at least 10ft easy from the ground or any where you stand. So I was getting around 18-20 ft in two moves. When you step on the one stick you detach the first tether. Connect your top tether and climb to the top of the one stick placing the tether at a reasonable height above your head like you normally would one sticking. Sit in the saddle and grab the stick and let it hang from your side. Step up with the footloop on the tether that you are already hanging from and place the one stick above the tether you are tied into as well as standing on. Place the other tether on the tree above the stick, clip in to it followed by un-clipping from the other tether. Climb the one stick like normal. Repeat as necessary.

Things that make this go quicker is have carabiners as the attachment method of your tether to the tree, and two bridges (though not necessary).

I’m deciding wether I want to have two prusik a on each tether with a movable foot loop or just one prusik on each tether and use the Garda footloop as necessary.

I’m refining it before showing it, but there really isn’t much to it. It is one stick climbing with two tethers.
”When you step on the one stick you detach the first tether.” So when you step on your one stick how are you tied to the tree and where is the attachement point? Based on your above description, it would seem that you when you step on the one stick at that point you are tied in below your feet until you “Connect your top tether and climb to the top of the one stick…”. What am I missing here?

No you’re already attached above your one stick before you step onto the aider. Remember you have two tethers.
While standing on the one tether (you’re also attached to) attach the one stick, attach and clip into your second tether, then step on the aider, detach your first tether and proceed.

Can you provide a stick figure drawing of each step?

Alternatively you could attach and clip into your second tether before placing the stick. Both methods allow you to be tied in above the stick before you weight the stick.
