5 must own guns

I only have one thing to say to my fellow rifle loonies and then I will move on, don’t even think twice about buying the new Garmin Xero C1 if you use a chronograph, it’s that good, the hype is real, I know the price sucks, especially for a hobbyist such as myself but after one range session I walked my old Pro Chrono Pal out to the end of my driveway and put it straight into the garbage can where it belonged, the difference is like nothing you can imagine.AC6D5BB4-E025-4CB8-AA78-F12DB6F73B1D.jpeg

True, after you tore into the 6.5CM :tearsofjoy:

I wasn’t trying to tear into it, I was just trying to explain why I don’t understand the hype…to me it’s like a circus act putting a wig on an elephant and calling it a Wooly Mammoth. Hey, but if you like it, shoot it. Some folks are into wig and elephants.

By the way I don’t discriminate against man buns alone. I have just as much disdain for the 308. 308 shooters couldn’t handle the 06, so they got a participation trophy and a 308 to go home with, lol.

Over-the-top haters sound just as silly as over-the-top fan boys :D

Thanks for the report. My old chrono is on its last legs and these were on my list to look at

Send me a PM if or when your ready to buy one, or anyone else for that matter, and I’ll share the deal I found, I did a ton of $$ research and found the best price from a real, authorized Garmin dealer, I’d post it on this open thread but people have been scalping these like crazy and I’d rather see them go to folks who actually want one and use it.

My dudes are so funny.

Nobody wants shot with a 22 even though a sissy 6.5 cant kill me a deer or a squirl ....ha ha hah haaaahhhh
..only an 06 or a 300.ha haaahh

As I stated earlier a 22mag is a killin machine. Anytime I can poke fun at the girly 6.5 need more, and the 3 0 hate I will.

An old friend of mine got a FAL and that was a pretty sweet rifle I have to say. His had some issues and would jam a decent amount. But it was an intimidating and awesome platform I thought.

My $0.02 on this subject:
1. A shotgun of some kind 20-12 gauge.
2. A good .22 rifle that shoots long rifle or shorts. Preferably bolt action.
3. A good bolt action center fire rifle of some kind. Any caliber you want that’s bigger than .22 cal.
4. A good reliable center fire semi auto handgun of some kind. 9mm or bigger.
5. (Optional if you must) a good center fire semi auto rifle of some kind. Such as the scary black guns all the gun haters target in every new piece of gun control legislation.

1033 yards...that's nothing. Half the orange clad guys down at the restaurant during gun season will tell you they can hit a running buck 3 times in the heart at 7000 yards in a 50 mile per hour headwind any day of the week, lol.

I believe I have everything covered for hunting. 30-06, 30-30, .223/5.56, 1187 rifled slug barrel, .50 muzzleloader, all the necessary shotguns - to include a muzzleloading 12GA.

I'd like to add a 300 Blackout w/ a can and a 7mm-08 to the mix though.
Supressed 300 is so much fun.

My 5 favorite 5 for hunting, since I don't really dispute the argument of "best" from the article

Suppressed 300blk- Still shooting supers for performance
12 ga.- Split time between 870 Wingmaster, Remington Model 58, or Browning Lightning Semi-Auto
460 Mag revolver- Still trying to get my first Deer kill
10/22
Ruger mk3 22/45 pistol

These cover basically anything I could want to hunt locally, and I try to be done before Muzzleloader season comes in anyway.

Yeah...hunter heroes everywhere...but im less than average....happy to hit an empty beer can at 50.their 300 win mags make dead deer look so much deader with their rifle in the picture1000002317.jpgmoms 270 just makes them look a sort of dead.
