From a DIY standpoint, a shoulder sling is pretty cheap and easy. The big question for me is always how I fit it into the overall system.
If I'm carrying climbing sticks in my pack, I can't carry much on the exterior of the pack because it'll pull the zipper open. Carrying sticks on a sling or using stepps, it's not an issue.
I like clipping my platform in the molle webbing on the rear of the saddle. That means if I'm attaching my bow in a vertical orientation on my pack, I have to really attach it high up to prevent the bottom cam from hitting the platform (I suppose a soft basket like on the Kuiu would help with that).
With a shoulder sling, if it's being carried on the side, it's sort of in the way when climbing. If you swing it around your back and pack, then it's better. Still pretty easy to take the bow out of a shoulder sling for a shot. Slip the loop off the top cam, and tilt the bow to remove the loop from the other side. Easier than bowsnatcher or Kuiu? I don't know.
Now that I've DIY'd the shoulder strap I'll try DIY'ing the Kuiu style and see which I like better. The only thing I am not a huge fan of with the Bowsnatcher is that it seems like the bow could swing around more when ducking or crawling through certain areas because it isn't secured on the bottom.
