Hey guys I was wondering if anyone else has had the problem , of you're upper back getting tired in the saddle? I was , but I made this sling that attaches to both sides, and supports me now. It is adjustable , so I can put more or less pressure. It's not been any problem , as of being in my way. I have just started saddle hunting , so I have a lot to get used to. Am old, and like my comfort. This aero hunter is pretty awesome. I know lots of you just use drag slings, but I'm not sure I could set that long on one.

Yes, I did the same thing but for my lower back. Threaded some seatbelt webbing thru a large pool noodle. I knew those things were good for something else. :D

The materials needed, are pipe insulation, mossy Oak felt material, a strap about 45'' long, a caribener, and a cam lock buckle. The strap is hooked to each side of the saddle where all connections of the strap assembly, not sure what it's called ,but then comes across you're back ,and over you're shoulder for the support. The side for the cam lock needs to be sewn on ,with a short nylon strap.

I really like that idea and how its goes across your back like a gun sling. Seems like it would work pretty good!

I was looking at doing this same sort of thing. I had planned on using the pipe insulation and even have some laying around. But then Shaun sent me the back pad of this aero hunter. I want to hook it up with my own method of adjustment. This will be on a plywood seat type saddle that I'm working up.

Cool, good luck with it. gotta be comfortable for those long sits! :D

I just use one of those old safety straps from my old tree stand and put it under my arms and clip it into the biner on my tether. They I can change how upright I sit as well as where the pressure is placed on my back.

The back pad was really comfy. I used it for a while. Just decided for my style, I wanted smaller and lighter. Made for a great way to just lay back and sleep while in the tree though. But now when I want a back pad, I just use a webbing strap . Or if I'm using my one rope system, I'll have the portion on my left (generally I use it for lineman belt) free to wrap behind me and clip somewhere and use the Ropeman or prussic to adjust it. I found that I can use that for back support or butt support if I need to change positions for a while.
