Well here's phase 1 the body next the straps.
Be kind my sewing skills are pretty novice its been a couple of years now.

This is two layers of 1.1 ripstop nylon in coyote brown, like I used to use to make gathered end hammocks with a 3/4" grograin edge.

Well it's mostly assembled. I have to add tensioners to the bridge loops, cut the straps to an appropriate length and finish the ends.

I know my sewing skills are sub par. I'm quite rusty but the stitches are adequate to do the job.

I’ve been tempted to pick up some rip stop nylon to play with for lining bags and other projects. Wondering how you like it for a saddle. Is it noisy or slippery? Is it difficult to sew? I’ve never had my hands on any besides some already sewn small pieces of a soft cooler.

Keep up the good work, looks great!

I havent noticed it to be noisy yet. It is very durable as long as it doesn't get torn and it is easy to work with. Just watch your thread tension is my only advice.
Thanks!

Some finishing work.

I put the lineman's belt/molle webbing on the inside of the saddle by accident when I initially constructed it. So I seam ripped it out and put it back on properly. While doing so I added reinforcement to the loops with camo material just like the bridge loops. I added tensioners to the lower part of the bridge loops. Triglides to the leg straps to manage extra strap length and finished the strap ends.

I think its all wrapped up.

Where did you get your webbing buckles and slides?
I got all of the hardware from vendors on Amazon.
G Hooks, Cobra buckle, triglides and 1" mil spec webbing.
The ripstop nylon, grograin, 2" seat belt strapping were all from ripstopbytheroll.com.
The camo material used to reinforce the loops was a random material scrap from my local Joann's store.

I made some hammocks out of it and so far it is quiet. It is slippery to deal with. I think as it starts to freeze though it will become noisy. A similar material is in one of my packs and that becomes extremely noisy once it freezes.

That was kind of what I was thinking, especially if it got wet with snow.
