I did rig this up to try I think the stick ended 25” I think the steps are around 23” apart I forgot to measure. my sticks will be 24” and the steps about 22” that’s what I bought the material for. Muddy sticks are heavy because of the heavy wall tubing they use. Best I can tell its 6063 1x1x1/8” very soft

My original sticks the first set I had are 2lbs15 oz I carried these 3 with aiders all over Tn I thought the muddys were lighter they weren’t but they are easier to carry through the woods for sure

No just a few oz I didn’t figure it would but it simplified the equipment less moving parts less parts to fail. I used them this morning they worked great, quiet and solid. I think there is another oz or two in material that can be removed from these steps.

Whats the weight of one step compared to the muddy double step?

have fun. I'm curious as well. I've been using the muddy fixed double steps on my frankensticks. I wonder how yours compare.
