I carried I a set of felt boot liners and a set of arctic shield booties.
When I got to my stand I took off my big boots and sealed them in a Newfie Suitcase. Then I put on the felt liners and Arctic Shield booties. That’s the warmest my feet have been on a cold hunt. Most comfortable too. Like wearing slippers. Great on the ground. Not so great for tree climbing.
I’m thinking something like this might be the answer.
• Durable 840 woven polyester upper, waterproof and windproof • 4mm polyurethane foam insulation • Adjustable hook-and-loop strap system for a secure and comfortable fit • Lightweight design to help prevent foot and leg fatigue • Excellent traction for slip resistance • Compact for...

Anyone try these?
I’d like to try a hike in with just some felt liners in these and see how it goes. They are a lot bigger than the Arctic Shields. At some point you’ve got to say enough stuff!
Currently, it is typically my feet that get cold first.
I usually wear insulated rubber boots. They’ll keep my toes warm for the first couple of hours but then the cold starts to creep in.
Maybe I should go back to lace up pack boots and loosen them off when on stand.
