Another Flex Clone Build Thread

Looking to make either/or/both of the Flexs (Kestrel and New 2020).

Ok got some dimensions from @jhunter13 and am starting this build today.

Flex Clone

Just finished up a flex clone thats in between a size 1 and size 2. Also went with the linemans loops like the ones on the tranformer

13 x 23” is what I was told for the dimensions of the size 1. I cut two pieces of 500D cordura to those dimensions. View attachment 48928

Careful.....thats the size of the folded completed panel, not the raw cut. See the pm I sent you.

Ok here’s what I’m going with for the build. This will give me a fold pleat 13 x 23 saddle.

It’s just olive drab. The binding around the saddle was suppose to be olive drab too but I think they sent me some kind of lighter green.

I noticed they did it on some first run new flex, but they stopped. They have to do it on the merlins.

Makes sense with the mesh.
