Arcteryx Knee pads on moosejaw

Crocodile. They came yesterday.
Mine came in yesterday also. I like that they are hard but have a rubberized coatings on them. My only complaint with my ones from Lowes is they were just too bulky in my pack. If I wore them climbing they were nice when I couldn’t quite get my foot up to the next stepp I could use a knee. They did occasionally let the crossbar on the step go between the knee pad and my leg. That was annoying.

I climbed a lot last year by propping my knee up on the stepp. I was considering a knaider, but resting your knee with pads on would be simpler and keep you from getting bruised up. Might be rough on pads though...

Back to the tree!!

It’s rough on the knees without a pad on but I’ll do that before I step back down and lower the step down a few inches.

One thing I noted when putting the archery pads on the first time the elastic sounded like Velcro. It was only for the initial stretch. I also like the attachment method. They were a lot easier to hook than the others I have. If they are close to the same in comfort I will buy another pair when I catch them on sale again.

Got mine today. Impressed with the quality and attachment method. Have to say that they're a lot better than the $5 pair that I bought at Wal-Mart.
FedEx says mine will be delivered today.

Another benefit that I can see having the knee pads is less blood on my pants. I always kneel for taking pictures and video show & tell with my kills, as well as when I field quarter them for packing out. Usually go home with blood spots on both knees. These pads should make the after kill process more comfortable too.

I figured you kept a small piece of Tyvek in your pack as many deer as you clean in the woods. Makes a clean place to lay back straps and stuff but would give you something to kneel on without getting your new 60 dollar knee pads bloody.

I have some core4element pants that have built in knee pads. Once you have them you realize what you’ve been missing.

I played with mine last night. Really like them, but no way they're worth full price. They're still foam kneepads. I can see them making kneeling to quarter a deer more pleasant. Heck, I may wear them squirrel hunting so I can do the tactical knee drop to get a steady shot!

I got those from Camofire and love them, I have three pairs.

Yeah I believe all that dark black stands out pretty good to a whitetails eyes. That's just my opinion, don't know that.
