BaseMap Crashing Issues

Not sure how many of you use BaseMap but if you do are you having issues with the app crashing on you after about a minute of use. It’s been happening to me on a regular basis for about two weeks now. Very annoying!!

What kind of device are you using iPhone or android?
Both my iPad and iPhone have the same issue.

Android, and also been on my PC.

I've been using it for around a year and a half now with no consistent issues on Android or PC. Have you checked to be sure everything is updated?

Last night I deleted the app off my phone and reinstalled just to try something and it’s still crashing. I’ve been using the app for over a year without issue until a couple weeks ago. Sent an email to their customer support.

Have you installed any other apps recently? Could be a issue with another app, my wife put a blue light filter app on her phone that kept her from being able to install new apps somehow

Could also be the phone itself needing an update? Sorry, rock solid for me on Android, though my older pixel does chew through the battery when running it with poor service. Not a problem with the ap though, that's my phone.

Update: BaseMap support emailed me back already and informed that I had to many active layers which makes sense because I activated a bunch of South Dakota layers for a possible antelope hope. Disabled all those and now seems to working.

I use basemap and haven’t had this problem but I actually did have this problem when I used onX. Good to know about the layers, I am sure that is what was happening.

I had a lot of problems with basemaps it's really unreliable it always gives problems signing in and I paid for a subscription. And have login problems all time have changed my password constantly.

I had issues when my phone or the app weren't updated a year or so ago, since then has worked flawlessly. Check if you need an update? (Fingers crossed for ya)

I’ve used it for a couple of years because it’s cheaper than onx. I also discovered to many layers screws it up. I don’t like their selection of pins. The direction arrow glitches on mine and points the wrong way sometimes.
