Buckle-less Predator/Lone Wolf/Beast sticks strap!!

This thing looks great. Put in an order and pumped to try it out. Less fumbling and noise in the dark!

Anyone have thoughts on putting a few Ameristeps or something similar on the strap on the far side of the tree?

@ckossuth I tried mine with a rope mod last week. 8mm sterling accessory cord just had way too much stretch. How do you think your strap will work for full figured(290lb) guys?

It should be fine. You may have a little bit of stretch the first few sits but it shouldn't be much. If you see the top teeth coming away from the tree, just lift up the platform, shove the post down some more, and cam it over again. Based on what I'm seeing with this particular webbing, I don't think stretch is going to be much of an issue.

Wait a minute. I leave for 2 months and there's a Gen 2 of the predator? Is there info on this somewhere - what's different, why, etc?

With the tail system, do you need to worry about not cinching the strap as tight as possible, or is the little bit of play in the distance between loops not a problem?

If you've been gone for 2 months, you have some catching up to do!

With the strap, put it around the tree as level as you can, just like you would with the buckle strap. Put the shortest loop you can onto the Predator post button, push the post down as tight as you can with the platform in the up position, then cam over the platform. Done. Implementing the strap is basically identical to using the buckled one. It's way easy. And the more sits you do, the better the strap will perform.

I’m not sure. I don’t have an Ameristep on hand. How wide are those?

I can check when I get home. I have a feeling they won't fit because of the thickness of the strap, not because of the width of the strap.
