Budget-friendly saddle pack

In that price range the best I have tried are the Eberlestock x2 and the badlands 2200. There is a Kuiu frame and pack cheap in the classifieds right now that will vastly outperform both of those. I’ve been testing the same setup and it’s really nice. If you can find one used the mystery ranch pop up is great too.

I went with the KUIU venture 2300. Not the pro system but the day pack.
It is $220 on their site right now but I picked it up on a 25% off sale.
If not that I was going to get a molle system from military surplus.

My dad and I picked up packs by 3v gear (velox) $55. Overall I was surprised by how well they carried sticks and packed saddle gear. If you have the predator platform it fits perfectly inside. Not enough room to use for meat hauling capabilities though.

did you put sticks on each side and use the two straps/buckles? What color did you go with?

and it Carries well for you with the sticks? It doesn’t ride too low without load straps? I was thinking of going grey too. I stumbled on the pack and it looks like a nice value pack. I love my outlaw sling.

It has done good. I wouldn’t say that it is something to pack way in but for short distance hunts it’s fine. I plan on upgrading this year to the X2 for more comfort on longer hikes.
