Should be making the first batch this week I believe! Looks like more interest in 3/4" than 1", so he will likely do that run first.

Very nice man definitely looking forward to these!! I agree i think the 3/4” will be better just on the weight and packability. Let me know when and where im at on your list and i will send the money!!! Super fast response btw on your part.....good deal!!

3/4" is cheaper to purchase material, faster to cut, and lighter. These are going to be so lightweight and packable some might not want to bother with folding steps. I'll get a real sketch and weights posted as soon as I get it from my machinist.
 
So does that mean the finished cost would be lower for us as well or stay around 30$
 
Do y'all use the IMMI buckle just to save weight? I am assuming a ratchet strap would work but is heavier and louder with the ratcheting?

Save weight, save bulk, make less noise, and take up less of the circumference of the tree with the IMMI buckle. Mo'better in every way to me. Some prefer the ratchet. Try both, and use what works for you. I did, and ended up with the IMMI.

Do be sure to check the weight rating of all materials being used. I think the IMMI is rated for like 1,200lbs. That's a fairly low number in comparision to things like tethers and bridges, but it should NEVER see a dynamic load and you should always be attached to the tree when you're on the ROS, so it's a number I think most of us are good with. ymmv
 
I just checked and my straps/buckles still show in production and haven't shipped out yet. The buckles I'm ordering for resale are rated 1000# with 333# working load limit and feature the buckle similar to the IMMI buckle. I'll be offering the 7' strap and buckle for $11.
 
Thats plenty for a rating and a deal on something new and needed in this market!!!
