I think an adjustable bridge is great for those learning to figure out what they like, AND if you use the same saddle in extremely different weather conditions which means many more layers of clothing. MY waist can probably fluctuate 2 inches or so depending on what I'm wearing...and bridge length can be adjust based on that to change hip pinch...

I have always preferred an adjustable bridge. The webbing is compact with minimal metal and ability to make noise. Plus as mentioned all the bridge is usable

My preference is for a set bridge 20-22 inches in length and make adjustments with my tether. Reason: I do not like a longer adjustable bridge that has two straps to contend with while shooting. Much prefer to only have to deal with one and it obstructs less than the triangle formed by the two bridge ropes. I shoot trad so that might come into play?

I will give the prussic tender a try on the tether. When you one stick I often contact the ropeman with my stick. Maybe this will be better

True. I am a crossbow user. The bridge doesn’t bother me It would be fun to shoot something different but my shoulder says no

That suxs…. I know i am battling chronic shoulder injuries for two years now. i actually hunted 2 weeks last year with a compound because of it. So far this year my shoulder is staying glued together pretty well but I have really laid off heavy lifting and minimal overhead stuff. I think crossfit two years ago was not a good thing for my shoulder :(

I can’t decide if the opening bridge is better with the beaner or the sewn on. Any thoughts?
I like the closed one. The two advantages for me is it keeps the tri glide closer to the loops and no extra metal to make noise. It's easy to set thru the bridge to put it on also.

Bummer. It’s my elbow and shoulder for me. Had to hang up my recurve 4 years ago. Have to get shots in my elbow every 4 months just to keep shooting a compound.

It depends. Wow our duty and taxes are a killer

$371.5 US for a whole kit. Translates to $517 cdn plus $72 in duty or about $590 cdn

So if you like your kestrel keep it
If you want a more comfortable saddle buy a hybrid.

That said the flex is good Is it better than a kestrel. I am not sure

My initial impressions.

For me I think it will be a bit more comfortable

It is lighter

I like the adjustable bridge Nice for comfort and for rappelling

I will try the prussic tender It May work better for one stick climbing. Less noise potential

The linemans loops are in a good spot.
And yes the flex may be open most of the time. I doubt that will bother me even walking in

I agree with @redsquirrel. I need to sit in it for a few hours

I doubt that inside liner is a problem.

I put the Kestrel away and used the Flex exclusively for about a month. I really like it but I am going to get back in the Kestrel this week. I may decide that I like it more. I tried the Mantis indoors on a stair railing post for about 5 minutes. It is back in the bag.

Shoulder and neck problems for about 10 years here. 2 motorcycle wrecks in one year messed me up. I hit a deer in my last one. A couple months ago I bought a Mission Sub1 crossbow.

Some of it is shipping exchange GST and then duty.
If you are happy with your kestrel there is no need to upgrade. Come and try mine some day

Taxation is theft. That being said I cancelled my order as the Kestrel I bought off you is basically brand new and id like to at keast use it before I drop another 500 also I would like to see more reviews and im hearing the flex is not the best ti wear walking into the tree.
