You could put a mid line loop in and pass your small spliced eye and carabiner through it. Figure 8 on a bight , bowline on a bight, and my favorite mid line knot for rigging ,because it unties easily after being loaded , the butterfly knot. Use this idea on the small eye end using an end line loop, figure 8 on a bight, bowline with a Yosemite tie off. I agree with donnieballgame that a carabiner as a girth hitch even though it's easy to clip in is sloppy and prone to slippage, I wouldn't want my life depending on that configuration at any height. I see new member but that doesn't tell me what kind of climbing experience you have. I don't know how old you are, or how much life experience you have. I get nervous giving this kind of advice on a forum. But you know know all that stuff. I get trying to repurpose stuff to save money, or trying to make things easier, or lighter. But if you don't have the experience this is no place to **** around. Like Scoutman said, buy the right gear and use it the right way, and live to hunt another day. I said it more poetically, but you get the jist. I hope it sheds some positive light
