Carrying Sticks with a JX3?

I was wondering how everyone with JX3's are carrying their sticks. I'm thinking about getting one and want to know how well they pack. I'm hoping to keep a lower profile while not tearing/wearing a hole in the mesh with my standoffs. WE steps look super easy to pack by I prefer to use 4 cut down Hawks. Any pics or info would be great!

I started this thread wtih the same thoughts in mind(not to hijack, but there are some pictures)

Pretty sure Stick Talons could be adapted to the JX3. If anyone wants to try some shoot me a pm.

Will talons work with Helium sticks? I've got a few sets of LW sticks but I like the double steps on the Hawks better. If I cant find a good way to attach my hawks I might cut and mod some LW's and use the Stick Talons. Haven't even gotten my JX3 yet, just trying to solve any potential issues ahead of time. The way they show LW sticks being carried on their website is definitely a NO GO for me.

Yes Talons work with Helium sticks.

I actually carry 3 LW sticks with my JX3. I replaced the top step on each stick with a double step from DanO at Eastern Woods Outdoors. they work great. What I do is use the normal strap that fastens the sticks together and a long wire tie for the other end due to I have a single step aider on each stick made from tubular webbing. As to how I carry the sticks I have an old bow sling that is a strap with small wraps that go around the top stick on each end and clips to the sling. With my JX3 on I put the sticks sling over my head and around one shoulder push the sticks up behind my saddle and off I go. They stay in place very well, don't seem to hang on anything due to they are below my head and the bottom isn't too low on my backside either. So far this works for me I have about 20 hunts in with the saddle for this year and love it.

Thanks for the info!

I use three chopped LWs with a doublestep on top, and amsteel aider on each. What I did most often this year was after folding the JX3 I lay the stacked sticks right across the top of that - making sure that I don’t have anything pointy aligned to the back of my head, and then wrap with the two tightening straps that hold the JX3 together. If anything is shifting or wobbling I cinch to something with a releasable ziptie. Currently I do have to remove the stand at the base of the tree, but that’s not a big deal and I’m usually putting layers on at that point that would require it anyway.
