How do some of you guys carry in your screw in tree step? I figure Ill need 3-4 steps for my platform and bow hanger. aside from carrying one step in each pocket or gear bag what do you do. I suppose wrapping them with tape may work. Mainly worried about noise but carrying steps damn sure cannot be more noisy than my climber is.

Travis, I have an old lineman's pouch my father in law gave me years ago and a smaller pouch that came with the tree bolts. I did see years ago a belt that someone had made, similar to an ammo belt made for shotgun shells, that they had loaded with tree steps it looked really cool but I don't know if it was a DIY or they just repurposed an ammo belt.

Roger,

I tried a few different ways of keeping them separated with elastic loops etc...what I found was that it made the work harder and everything took longer and I had a higher chance of dropping them.

for 3-4 steps for a platform Id think youd want to bind them together tightly so they aren't clanging against eachother

Steps for climbing is a different story

maybe you can ranger band them to your top stick (if you use sticks and they have some stealth strips)
