Had occasion to put on rain pants tonight over my other gear. However, I was 20' up and strapped into my Aero Hunter. There was no good way to do this that I could figure out.

Any ideas/tips/tricks?

I always put my bottom layers on at the base of the tree and then climb. I can change out top layers while in the tree.

I couldn't figure that out without completely undoing the leg straps.

Changing pants in the tree is a no go.

That's kind of what I figured. Was hoping there might be a zip on/off pair of rain pants that would work. Or something akin to chaps for a tree saddle. I may consider making my own.

The way I look at it is I always carry rain gear in the truck. If I know or have a feeling its going to rain Ill bring it with me pop it on at the tree at least the pants. The top can go on later. Rain gear does not breathe or breathe well so I put it on at the tree to minimize sweating for hikes some spots are within an ear shot of the truck so that can go on immediately in those cases.
