I felt a maf

I felt the madrock wasn't safe enough for me so I bought petzl pro I felt if window cleaners trusted it enough to hang off the sides of building s it work good for me auto brakings eemed good to me a controlled decent so but it was like 200 some bucks

I don’t use the Safeguard for descent. That’s why I’m carrying the extra optional equipment on my list. For ascent I think it’s as safe as any alternative. This assumes proper use and either tying off or not letting go of the tag end, this rule applies to any belay device.

The extra .29 pounds for rappelling equipment is worth it to me.

I intend to give srt a fair chance at some point. My biggest hold back has been the pile of rope. Drt takes twice as much rope as srt. That would be my biggest hold back.

I'd like to try SRT as well but I'm hung up on how loud rope methods seem to be. When viewing both of those videos, even my wife (non-hunter) remarked on the crashing/thrashing sounds of the throw bags.

Climbers around the world use the madrock everyday, Its perfectly safe for you I can promise you that! But you must know how to use your gear in order for it to be safe!

Not using a friction saver will make the rope wear out quicker, So if you do MRT check your equipment often!

Has anyone fiddled with throwing an aider ladder over a limb to climb? There are 10 step ladder aiders for sale online, under a pound.
