Cva wolf Muzzleloader

I started out with Powerbelt Aerolites when I first got my Accura V2. I didn’t find them to be very accurate. I switched to Harvester Scorpions and now shoot their 300 grain White Lightning with their sabots. Those with 110 grains by volume of BH209 and I have holes touching at 100 yards. The biggest issue that I had with my CVA was getting blowback into the firing pin housing and that fouled up the firing pin and caused it to stick. I found some rubber o rings that fit into the primer hole and haven’t had issues with it since.

This is my problem. i have the same gun. So you put the o ring in the bottom of the hole and then push the primer in? Ive never really understood that. Ive heard of this solution though. Definitely no issues getting the primer out after the shot lol

Yeah it just sits in the bottom. I think the problem is variances in the headspace of breechplug. The primer does stick out a little further but I haven’t had the blowback issue since using it.

My 2 cents on ammo.

Dad shot powerbelts for 2 years and they kill deer but a field point would leave a better trail. pass throughs no expansion.

If you can find em Barnes Spitfire T-MZ are the bees knees. The TMZs have a boat tail and better BC than the T-EZs. You can get good deals on em in the summer.

Barnes makes better bullets than anyone in my opinion. accurate and expand every time.

OK thanks. The blowback is ridiculous. I hope they fixed that on their new Accuras which are twice the price of the old V2.

I have this issue… do you happen to have a picture of how you placed the oring?

Tried to get a decent picture. You can kind of make out the o ring in the bottom.
