Rope and stirrup stay were they are set and aider stays with me as I climb
So basically you are one sticking with the aider and just leaving the stirrup so how many stirrups are you using?Rope and stirrup stay were they are set and aider stays with me as I climb
I want to figure out a method of carrying it up and not having it draped over my shoulder and hanging to the ground! And I have thought about cutting it into different sections but that will be plan z!!!!!I liked the ARC stuff when I came across it.
I would love to try the seat but wonder about bridge mods just from the videos.
My thoughts on the ladder, with multiple attachment points it looked very bulky in a one piece.
I'm thinking the same heavy build in sections like climbing sticks clipped to your saddle as climb up would work.
Each section then attaches to the top of the previous one and uses a single strap to the tree.
This keeps you free as you climb and with a lower center of gravity instead of shouldering the weight of the entire strap.
I'm making 4....plan on carrying either 2 or 3....2 will get to 14-16 ft and 3 will be 20-22 give or take. 4 would get 30+ but my normal hunting is 15-18ftSo basically you are one sticking with the aider and just leaving the stirrup so how many stirrups are you using?
I like how the first thing they tell you is to make sure you’re strapped in because falling back is a hazard, but then continue to do their demonstration without using a safety line haha.Am I the only one that watches that and cringes thinking this dudes going to fall any minute with out his linesman?
See you in a tree, Ricky

Yeah, definitely should have something. They got the same comments over a couple years ago when they launchedThat was my first thought when I watched it. "Is this dude really climbing this death trap with no tether or LB?"

Absolutely not, I thought the same thing!!! Where's his LB?

I can't understand why someone would think this is great but be dead set against climbing SRT. I carry a rope WITHOUT all those steps and just use two ascenders to climb, pushing with my right leg only. If I fall over backwards, as warned about in the video, I just hang there, completely safe.Ohhh...you're in for a treat...too bad they ceased production...it was a good concept that needed some fine tuning...
I'm not sure if you're referencing me being dead set agains srt, but sure am not. If it works for you great. Where I hunt no dice. The idea of throwing a pull cord over a branch in 10 degree weather and snow doesn't sound appealing to me. Also, many of the maples and ash trees I hunt out of don't have branches till over 20' feet up. Even presets would be tough. I used pull cords to setup high ropes courses for many years...it sucks when they're frozen.I can't understand why someone would think this is great but be dead set against climbing SRT. I wasn't referring to anyone in particular. It's funny, when I searched Google for SRT site:saddlehunter.com, many posts popped up from 2016 by the longtimers here about this great new method they were going to try. I guess it was not too successful. I don't think they mentioned why.I'm not sure if you're referencing me being dead set agains srt, but sure am not. If it works for you great. Where I hunt no dice.
