Diy metal-less climbing method

Do you down climb the opposite of the way you climbed? Rappeling seems much easier down but then you need all that metal equipment and extra rope.
I don't want change anything about my climbing system except make sticks into soft stirrup. I'm quiet and quick with my sticks cause I have climbed with them for years and i like that way of getting up the tree

You can climb as high as you want with 2 stirrups and aider then, correct? Cool idea! I like the non metal clank and paired with the bag platform (where this climbing method could be stored on a side pouch) seems like a great method. Or I guess you could have a "ring of stirrups" with a couple sets of stirrups around the tree and leave the bag platform.

No....they just replace a climbing stick. No 1 stick or anything fancy. 2 would be 12-14 ft. Roughly 7 ft per anchor point. I plan on one day having 4 just in case I ever have to get high up for some reason....plan on carrying 2 or 3. Folded up they are 2x8...don't take up much room and lightweight....yet heavy duty at the same time

Gotcha. You wouldn't have to 1 stick with 2 stirrups it would be more like leapfrogging. Climb 3/4 up the aider, set a stirrup and climb onto it, unclip your aider and top stirrup and repeat. You'd lose a step or so but you'd be carrying less if ya wanted to get higher than 12-14ft.

I'll get the 1 completed stirrup weighted tommorow....the whole thing platform, 3 stirrups, and aider probably 4 pounds....not worried about carrying that

Just trying to save guys money when you start selling them comercially. You technically could climb as high as ya want with 1 or 2....ha!

Too many irons in the fire and a sincere lack of motivation might halt production on my end. I do appreciate ya posting this though it'll be something I probably will have to give a shot by next season.

you did all the sewing with a speedy stitcher??

So you do or do not downclimb? You answered a different question than what I asked.

I watched this video twice and seems easy....I think this is a better method of "downclimb"
