DIY platform

I am wondering if straps without hooks would be a better option. Just girth hutch them around the tubing of the up rights that the top strap is attached to. I think this would allow the load to be distributed across a larger area not focused on where the hook is in contact with the tubing.

This would be a pain because you would have to thread the strap through the ratchet but there a hacks to make that easier like a strap with a hook on the tree and a loop of paracord to hold the stand while monkeying with the straps.
 
With your skill, Id love to see you make this type platform more post friendly. Offset the mounting ears from the V teeth to allow camming to tighten strap like LW stands.
