filming archery

This is the doe kill if you want to watch the quality of filming with the iPhone 13. The buck kill should be posted sometime soon.

Did you say that’s the third doe you’ve shot but first you’ve recovered?

I was able to film my buddy shoot his first buck with the DJI gimbal and my iPhone and also self film a doe kill this year. It’s a super awesome setup. It always keeps the phone steady and balanced. Using the active track is awesome for hunting in big wide open areas (open hard woods or field edges) but anything super thick it doesn’t work so well. It loses the deer pretty quick. I’ve been able to film all kinds of deer this season with the setup.
Is there any noise to that gimbal moving?

This was the second doe I shot this season. The first one got bumped by yotes and I didn’t find her until a few days later and she was all gone. The first doe I shot was quartered to me more than I thought and the shot hit where I was aiming but entered liver and went out stomach. After the deer was bumped out of her first bed I found her around 500-600 yards away from the shot.

There is no noise when it moves. I think it made a noise when you would turn it on but you can turn it off in the settings on the app. This is my first year filming and I’ve enjoyed using the gimbal. After the initial learning curve it’s really easy to use.

Thanks! I've done a lot of filming off and on over the years. Biggest issue is trying to keep the deer in frame while drawing and shooting a bow. It seems the gimbal would greatly help with that.

This is my first year filming at all and I’ve been able to get both of my shots on deer this year on film. Both have been does. Probably a little different story with a cruising buck but I’ve enjoyed using the gimbal.

Am I the only one who enjoys watching these shot videos over and over and over? Does that make me weird?

Newest video from the go pro. I can download the videos straight to my phone and trim them down just to the shot and edit the slow mo in (240 fps).
