Sweet. I knocked down a deer or two in the burbs around the Twin Cities when i lived in that area. Had a doe die right by a playground. I did the courteous thing and dragged it a few feet away before gutting
Nice! It’s definitely an interesting style of hunting, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I was hunting in one of our parks a couple years ago, and shot a big old doe that ran over a hill and died. I went and found her, and she was laying dead about 10’ from a large pavilion. It was about 8:15. I decided to go get my car and drive around to get her... why work harder when you can work smarter, right? I go back to my car and unpack, and drive around. When I pull up to the pavilion, there are two school busses unloading kids that are on a field trip, and all headed to the pavilion. You’ve never seen someone grab a deer and go back over the hill with it faster. Then I had to get my car and drive back around, then drag out. Could have been bad!!!
