Gone soft, southern public, mobile system

I got about 30 dollars wrapped up in it.....so I'd say 280 bucks + shipping seems about right for standard saddle industry mark up
Does it have a name yet? If no then we can get @bj139 in here to trade mark it for us before we do the official release.

wait, are you the Greg, Ernie or Chris of the group?

I call it the crap sack....
I think I’ll just steal your idea, patent it and then give you no credit and release it under a catchier name

@tailgunner is this crap sack ultra-lite or what?

Sorry weldy, had to call in the big guns on this. If we can market it as featherlight we can up the price. Where do you stand with this being stuffed with organic goose down?

I had to think on that 1 for a second.....I forgot all about that. Funny stuff....

I could make some more climbing videos of the bottom of my shoes and taint area....hahahaha (it is genuinely difficult to make a good climb video)

Stirrups and aider still going strong...just a little dirty and covered in pine sapScreenshot_20230117-073839~2.pngScreenshot_20230117-073830~2.png

Switching from the 9mm to 6mm on the stirrups I have to add more wraps to the timber hitch which adds a little more time but I rather take the time and have them pack away better vs little heavier/bulkier but less wraps quicker to attach

Ok real question. Your shoeless platform concept has me intrigued. How much does your feet actually sink into it? Have you considered memory foam?

Do you feel any slippage after awhile? Like because the material giving slowly as more weight is applied. I'm open to wrapping my platform in padding and removing shoes once at height.

It's fluffed like a bag of microwave popcorn 2 minutes deep.....

The stuffing is packed tight as I can get it. I have added more stuffing twice since I first made it. My feet don't "sink in" at all. After 4 hours or so of standing on it there may be 2 small depressions but it fluffs back up. There is no slippage....I don't know what kind of platform u got or if wrapping it will be advantageous or not.....

Ok....this season I noticed more than ever that my feet get cold. We had some pretty cold days here this year but it's not the temp. My feet just get sweaty easy....I don't know if it cause I'm getting older or what. If it's hot or if it's cold I have sweaty foot's...luckily I'm not a naturally smelly person so it doesn't equate to extra foot odor...it just makes it easy for them to get cold.....on those real cold days hunting I ended up taking my shoes off or wearing my Crocs and a medium/heavy weight sock and my feet were warmer after the sweat evaporated off exposed out in the open like that ....what the heck is that all about. Not sure how to handle this issue. It's really the last thing I need to figure out that bothers/hinders/discomforts me during hunting season.....breathable something or other and those insulated boots covers is my plan for next year. Minimalist boot skeletoes or these crazy new mesh shoes or something like that..and then trash bags or those wiggys wader leg things or equivalent for water...the tingly/yoder combo is best warmer weather Florida shoe but I need to figure something else out for if/when it gets cold

SAME. Yesterday my feet was freezing. I was wearing merino wool and heavy Army winter boot. I'm thinking about walking in with Croc and then just adding artic shield boot cover once my feet dry....

This one is really easy but people likely won’t take the time to fool with. Wear the thinnest lightest weight socks you can find in. Before you climb take off your boots, wipe your sweat off your feet with a small pack towel then put on a thicker merino wool sock. Climb the tree and enjoy warm toes. You may also benefit from a dedicated deodorant stick for the bottom of your feet. It does feel a little weird at first but does help on top of the above.

hmm.....does baby powder help dry your feet? remove thin socks, apply baby powder, then wear thicker sock.
