How is the soft platform holding up after a few months of use?
If you made one from scratch, would you do anything differently now?

The stuffing has compressed a little and I could stand to stuff it a little more but other than that it does everything I ask of it and more. I wouldn't change anything

It's funny but, I was planning on adding some feedback about it today. You must have read my mind.

BLUF: that's military for "bottom line up front" get to the point. I LOVE IT... No joke, I was not paid for my endorsement and no arms were twisted.

To be honest, before I seen it in person and used it, I was sceptical. I had a bias and was like there is no way. But I have to admit, I was wrong. So, when @Weldabeast
starts taking orders, I will be the first to buy one.

No metal to clang and bang, it side loads way better than I thought it would, the gripping material he adding works, it's super little and it's soft enough to provide cushion for comfort, but stiff enough to support standing on for hours. What else can I say, it's awesome.

Thank again for letting me field test it.

Weldabeast, you may want to go with a more dense foam material for you stuffing. Something like those cheap Swim noodles. The foam is very dense, but light and could be cut to length and stuffed. Just a thought.

Ok y'all.....I have no editing or fancy stuff...just birds, neighborhood kids playing, car horns, AC units, and me climbing to 20ft, setup, tear down, descend.....video sucks but u guys get the idea....if I wasn't so anal retentive about organization and putting things away would speed things up a bunch.... I thought about just going flat out and seeing how fast I could do it but that's not very realistic.... So I take my time like I always do. Shots taken at the 3-4 o'clock position since that seems to be the harder 1 for rightys. Video sucks....sorry fellas

Man! Its good to finally see this system in action after following the progress of the build! Makes perfect sense now. Nice method brother!

Once I learn the sew machine I have an idea that I think be much better than the stirrups.. truly metal free method with no biners. If it works as well in real life as it does in my imagination should be pretty sweet

Haven't updated on a while....pouch arrangement has changed a little and some items have been dropped and some added but everything's pretty much the same.... last season changed out stirrup attachment rope to 6mm and this season I added a new release ...got my first commercial bought saddle and I hate to admit...it much nicer/more comfortable than my diys I've been using since first discovering saddles.... that's pretty much it..mix a new batch of permethrin, renew my licence/print quotas, treat cloths, and sharpen broadheads and I'm ready for season to start

How do you incorporate the backrest/lumbar thing? If I'm not mistaken the plan with those as marketed is to strap that right to the tree. Curious, i bought one to play with but haven't yet

Gotta say i never saw this thread back when it started. First time i saw this system was when flcanopystalker invited me to the saddle hang out. I‘m pretty set on my technique, not stubborn, just happy with one sticking. Much like Weldabeast and his system! But he definitely has it down to the minimum, and it is quiet beyond belief. I was impressed to say the least, nice job, buddy! Maybe you can drag me out to the swamp this season and I’ll see it in action

If u wanna hunt with me I make it a point to see that happen.

Edit:....u have ur birthday yet?... As an exempt hunter u can go on any of my quota hunts. Between what I drew and guest permits offered to me I'm in some pretty good wma in just about right time to maybe see some real action
