Have y’all ever had this happen?

I have had both owls and hawks make runs at me while in the tree. Luckily they've always figured out their mistake before actually grabbing my hat.

Many, many years ago in my youthful exuberance I was hunting after hours on a snowy night over a large bait pile and found myself sharing my tree in the dark with several owls also overlooking the bait looking for mice.

Haha the tree of predators!

I have had an owl follow me for quite some time while I was posting a swamp. Had hawk swoop down 10 yards from me and kill and start to eat a squirrel. Couldn’t care less that I was there. Cool experiences. Still cannot get over how quiet that owl was.

Owls are like cats that can fly. Curious, have the “screw you” attitude, and are deliberating if you are food, something to screw with or just a diversion in their day.

I was hunting in Minnesota one year with a longbow with beaverball silencers and believe it or not an owl flew between me and my bowstring. I felt a breeze and looked and saw tail feathers trailing away from me. Sounds like a bunch of bunk and wouldn't have believed it unless I didn't experience it. Totally awesome experience!
