Great video Joe, as always. Thank you! It was your previous video series that converted me to 1-sticking in the first place, and this latest one just confirms that I think I made the right choice.
I love teh idea of the screamer. I see many on the market, but cant find one that is 8 inches compacted. Do you mind sharing which one you have? I will be adding that to my and my sons system for sure!
How are you keeping your girth hitch from moving down? I use the oplux with a petzl delta triangle, and I can not consistently get it to stay no matter how tight i hitch it. Its like the weight of the triangle is just to much to stay in place. Are those links you are using heavy and rated?
Alright, I admit, you got my gears turning. How much does your one stick and SRT gear weigh?

I don't see how this is any faster or more efficient than Joe's video, other than this one uses a full-length stick and the strap is loosened to slide the stick up the tree rather than undoing and refastening on each move. But with the cam cleat on Joe's short stick, it's just as fast if not faster. Looks to me like both methods work equally well from what I can tell. But the short stick is lighter and easier to carry. It might take one more move than the long stick to get to height, but I'm guessing total time would be about equal. And the bulk factor gives the advantage to the short stick.
Now you know why @redsquirrel, never gets around to posting videos of this best secret hunting techniques. He rathers staying in the shadows and laughing at us.Wait, . . . I thought it was understood that we always blamed @g2outdoors.
Freakin awesome jobI thought I'd post a video demonstrating how simple, quick and quiet single stick climbing can be. I also included a timed look at my descent process and how long it takes to pack up and head out. Also, remember, I'm a self-described OFG (old fat guy) , if I can do it anyone can. I hope this helps some of you considering trying single stick climbing.

I keep going back to Chris Cain's one sticking video, also. It was @boyne bowhunter 's video of his modified WE step method first posted by Chris Cain that led me there.

Harken Cam-Matic 150 but there's nothing sacred about that brand. I believe other are using using Schaefer cam cleats.Joes method has me thinking... I have a 2 step ladder style aider I am going to try using and a beast stick. Might mod it for a cam cleat.
What cam cleat did you use @boyne bowhunter ?
They're heavy steel threaded links. Not sure of the rating. I "borrowed" the one in the video off of the safety chain from my popup camper. I unofficially stress tested it once when I hit a bump going too fast down a two track and knocked the tongue off the hitch ball. It dropped, survived the shock load and plowed a 30 foot furrow in the two track median before I stopped. I don't think my 220 even falling the whole 3 feet is going to compare with that. How are you keeping your girth hitch from moving down? Personally not a fan of the soft shackle for this application. IF (not saying it will) but if it inadvertently comes loose it would be bad.Amsteel soft shackle could possibly solve that problem. 1/8” properly constructed should have a break strength north of 5000#.
are you using anything to keep yours from loosening while not under load?Personally not a fan of the soft shackle for this application. IF (not saying it will) but if it inadvertently comes loose it would be bad.
I use a Ronstan carbon cam cleat. This one is sacred for sure. not reallyHarken Cam-Matic 150 but there's nothing sacred about that brand. I believe other are using using Schaefer cam cleats.
