How to Carry Lone Wolf Sticks?

How do you all carry your climbing sticks in addition to a (day) backpack (i.e., outside of it)? In my case, I have some Lone Wolf sticks on order and haven't used sticks before (primarily a ladder stand and a climber a few times).

I would think a single padded sling over one shoulder on top of the backpack diagonally oriented, or vertically on one side, would be the best solution with some sort of quick release connection on either end of the sling?

Lots of ways a guy could do it, but I used an old camelbak backpack for my really lightweight setup. Any small backpack could work. I locked my sticks together, fished some rubberized gear ties through the molle loops, and twisted it around the four sticks so it was tight. It was really simple, solid, and the rubberized ties don’t seem to slip or make noise. It sits really high on your back also, so its comfortable and doesn’t seem to catch on branches, or Virginia brambles. I kept my ratchets and my ring of steps in a dump pouch hung from my saddle, which I wore in. My sticks are in the shed now but here is the pack with a gear tie still attached.

To be honest I've never found a good to way to carry them. If you get more than three of them together and have a long walk they start to get heavy when they are slung across your neck. I also dont care for back packs as they get hot down here. Although, I do use them from time to time. I usually just strap them directly to the my LW seat platform and use two gun sling straps for shoulder straps. I pretty much bungee everything to that.

I’ve tried a few different ways.. The easiest way for me to carry them without adding extra bulk or equipment is to use the straps on the sticks for shoulder straps and wear them like a back pack.. I stack the sticks together as they were designed, Bungee the top and bottom of the sticks togather to secure them tightly and then loosen two of the straps on the sticks to make shoulder straps..

I carry them on a strap
I posted the pics somewhere, I have niteize on both ends and snap the strap to them. The carry strap can double as your back strap.
@donieballgame do you remember where htis was?

I always have a strap on mine to carry over the shoulder but many times I will strap to the back of my pack in order to just have to worry about the bow in my hands.

I found a great backpack to carry my modified heliums, but it wouldn't work with full length sticks. That one kinda boggled my mind and was a definite drawback to saddle hunting until I figured a good system that worked for me ya know...treestands are pretty nice for lashing gear to them and serve as a great vessel for carrying your stuff in, so when you get rid of that how are you going to get all the stuff you still need into the woods? I certainly wasn't going to compromise comfort or start carrying stuff in my hands so I search long and hard until I came up with something. That and finding a platform that made sense were the two things that finally got me into a saddle after kicking it around for the better part of a decade.

Been carrying my modified helium sticks in an all fleece Kathy Kelly pack for years. Now that I just bought all the camera gear I may have to go to some type of internal pack frame/pack due to almost 2x the weight/bulk.... I am already looking at all the options.... so far the Alpz Traverse has really caught my eye as it looks like I can attach platform, sticks, all camera gear and my bow to it leaving my hands completely free if I choose. When I carry my recurve no problem - but if I take this monster Mathews I would rather attach it to my pack. Lots to consider for the upcoming season especially when using my 10 foot stealthy kayak - nucanoe no problem.

I bought the Mystery Ranch pop up 28 to carry my platform, lw sticks, and all the other stuff I keep in my backpack (layers of clothes, accessories). DIY whitetail did a great review on this day pack, I think it's in the "product review" forum.
Before buying this day pack, I would leave my sticks at home in favor of wild edge steps.

Badlands superday, ridge runner fits perfect inside, sticks strapped to pack where it’s meant to hold bow or gun, and bow in hand. When I get to tree bow goes on pack, and sticks come off. Pack also has a waist belt and is super comfortable
