I don't know ow how that happend
[/QUOTE]I've jump tested it too..my point is if the desighn works with flimsy aloy.than it would be stronger with t6.and I don't know what paracord people talk about there is none.only webbing.the frame of the sliderbar buckle is 3 layers of 1 piece of webbing webbing rolled and stitched. ...........................
gunner, have you shock tested that aluminum piece?
depends on the rope really. some of the 8mm ropes are really light. not sure but probably 1lb for 40ft. i dont weigh anything in my setups. My whole thing pack n saddle is prolly 15 lbs all said and doneHow much is a rappel rope wheigh
you know you want to find out.skip skying and in a week you could hunt speed goats, muledeer and rockey mt. elk in the sage brush out east with your crimson cloak.hunt monster rossies and monster blacktail in the high and low cascades. swamp donkeys on the willamette river. then try yourself at the hardest hunt in north america.and get after the grey ghost of the coast.and rainforrest rossies.1 road from bend to the coast.its almost like we have it all out hereWhat’s your reason for using a strap/webbing over rope/chord for your bridge tether combo? With a friction hitch on rope could you not get rid of one more piece of metal that is left on your buckle?
Only thing I could think of off the top of my head was that maybe 1.5-2” webbing or strap would hold better on those slimey and wet moss trees you climb out on the pacific NW coast?
