If-i-would-would-you

So are you showing/talking about using a carabiner as your tether or something else?

I think its a way to allow for tether or lineman's belt length adjustability on the fly for webbing tethers correct? The buckle system does look neat but I'm not quite sure what you are for sure trying to accomplish with it. The way the one strap wraps around the bent aluminum bar makes me think its some sort of a webbing prussic of some kind? Am I close?

My brotha!!!!!the dog knows what troll is.but no it is a slider bar buckle strap adjuster.but with a webbing frame.so no metal to metal contact, like I said I tested them to a thousand pounds first.then used them all season.i used 1 and a half inch camstraps in the past but wasn't satisfied. So I made what I wanted to replace this.diyScreenshot_20220417-194437_Gallery.jpg

I'm just not afraid of cenching a tree with a carabiner.and making everything else my self.all my gear is made by me except my carabiners and old ameristeps.the steps are on a strap with my other no metat to metal ghost buckle desighn for tree straps i combined it with the crusifix quick connect hitch idea i got from that player redbeard.hes always thinkingScreenshot_20220301-174159_Gallery.jpg

its all im using from now on.its solid light and quiet..has my own camo pattern on it.send strapworks a cropped down to a strip pic on your phone of the bark you like, have the laddies in graphics department darken the black and inhance the color and they will print it on all their different straps and tubular webbing.its an extra charge but you only pay it the first time and they keep it on file.you could have different srap patterns for different tree barks.i dont know why saddle or stand companys havent figyered it out yet.just be happy slanging the same old copy cat stuff and leave it to an illeterate moron to come up with a stupid simple idea like treebark pattern straps ,duh, i make my own stuff for a reason........no body els makes what im looking for. i spend money.and you can look like you are going to hunt and not like you are doing linemans or arborist work sure you dont need camo to fool deer but it sure helps with bears and cougers.plus i dont want other hunters to know where im at .they wont and cant help me like that

After reading this thread and then re reading it again tail gunner is my new favorite. Like a Witty mad genius throwing creativity out!

I read this entire thread and Gunny I have no clue what you are even suggesting or showing us with that sketchy piece of aluminum. I also am confused how the pic of the bear makes whatever you are doing a good idea. The fact that it technically works does nothing to convince me its a good idea. Paracord is also technically rated around 500 pounds but I sure as crap am not making a bridge out of it. I do like those straps you had made though, pretty cool.
