I read this entire thread and Gunny I have no clue what you are even suggesting or showing us with that sketchy piece of aluminum. I also am confused how the pic of the bear makes whatever you are doing a good idea. The fact that it technically works does nothing to convince me its a good idea. Paracord is also technically rated around 500 pounds but I sure as crap am not making a bridge out of it. I do like those straps you had made though, pretty cool.
i for got to mention the bear.as a diy guy it is fofilling to make something and fill a tag with it.what ever it is you make.diy people know this..they be like niiiiice..and my penis isnt big......its not to prove a point i mean.its just fofilling.and i mean filling a tag with something you made then saying look dude check out what i did with what i made.i thought that part was obvious.love you dog

I finally figured it out. You have to read his text out loud. It’s the only way it makes sense. He types like he speaks so it’s all just a series a fragmented thoughts. It’s like talking to your drunk redneck friend at hunting camp.

I did that starting with his first post but I am fluent in redneck. I am just waiting for the evening he gets on here after 4 no-doz and a jolt cola.

this is my favorite thread in a while...im gettin a good laugh in with the banter.

gunner, have you shock tested that aluminum piece? maybe get you enough "stuff" in a bag/sack to match your body weight and let it drop a couple feet off of your set up to see what it does to that aluminum. i know you said it didnt bend til 1,000lbs but what if you slip? will it hold up? thats all im ever worried about or i would use paracord.

Jeremy, I really enjoyed this thread, boy I haven't laughed so hard or so much at work in months! Good, creative, innovative but mostly so funny and cool that you don't take any criticism personally but just laugh right along with everyone else! Keep it up!

I've jump tested it too..my point is if the desighn works with flimsy aloy.than it would be stronger with t6.and I don't know what paracord people talk about there is none.only webbing.the frame of the sliderbar buckle is 3 layers of 1 piece of webbing webbing rolled and stitched. ...........................
