I can't say I'm not laughing with the crowd, but the product isn't totally ridiculous.
I don't personally need access into my pack during a hunt, but hear all the time on the forum how others like their stuff organized and available. This is like a tool bucket for those who hunt that way. Folks liked that concept from Sitka.
I think the design is meant for small parcel hunters, who just walk out to their treestands or ground blinds.
As silly as it looks, the only strike against the EVA "cooler" design vs a standard cordura pack is added weight, imo. (And this is still just 1&3/4lbs). Once you fill out a standard pack, it's the same shape as a structured one, but harder to get at stuff both when loaded and once items are removed and it sags. Maybe the structured bag sticks out from a tree a bit more unnaturally, but that's a somewhat silly argument imo.
