I'm super stressed lately with everything going on so I decided to figure out a little DIY project to clear my head.

With 2 continuous loops of Amsteel you can use the KNaider/SWaider on your climbing sticks. It works great. Now you can ditch the big aiders if you don't like them.

Add 2 CLs to each stick and you can get 7+ feet per stick and not have any aiders dangling in the wind.

I started with 32" of 1/4" Amsteel blue. After burying 5" per side, the CL was the perfect size to girth hitch around the stick. I made 6 in about 30 minutes. That gives me 2 per stick.

Full video coming soon.

Very interested to see how it works on the muddy. Do you think this could be combined witg Cain's one stick method?

What is the distance between the steps of your adiers?

Knee height. It will vary per person, but a good rule of thumb is knee height. Mine is about 19 inches.

look forward to the video. honestly, since I can easily get 6.5 foot with my one climb as you go aider, so no real advantage for me personally but I love how things keep progressing....... I'm actually going to give the stepps with wider, swaider whatever is called a try.... but probably stick to my 3 sticks and aider

I was just thinking this same thing the other day. Hadn't made the loops yet since I wasn't sure how to attach them. The girth hitch is perfect.

Time to get to work on the knaider and loops I guess.

I agree with you. Not a big advantage if you've already figured out how to move the aider. I'm so short I have to stretch my sticks out as far as possible and I can't reach the top of the stick. If I didn't have Smurf legs it wouldn't be as big of an issue.

@g2outdoors , would a "hard loop"work better? Maybe thread the amsteel through a plastic tubing? It may be easier to hook into it. Pete
It's pretty easy to hook into as is, but a tube might help a little as well. I still think I like the wild edge steps better for this method. But this is a good alternative for those that only have sticks.

Can't wait for the video. Great job and don't worry you'll grow up same day lol.

I’m new to all this so please pardon my ignorance but what is that thing on your leg An boot? An where can I get those aiders to use for steps? Thank you
