Learned a lot in my 1st sit in my sit drag

So glad to hear this. My bridge is 28" and I tie in right at my eyeballs. Buy some 1/4" Amsteel and you'll be in business.

I'm gonna get the length dialed in and I will make one from amsteel. I can obviously do a fixed eye Brummel on one end, on the other end though, do you just do a long bury and stitch it in with thread?

I run an even shorter bridge than y’all are saying... I will have to measure it later, but I believe it is about 23-24”
The sit drag can’t even lay flat it is so short. I typically run my tether at about my upper lip when standing straight up on the steps. But, my last 2 sits were significantly higher than that due to limbs. Once I figured out where to tighten the ropeman to I was gold. My sit on Saturday was 7 hours in a sit drag on top of my climbing stick. I couldn’t believe I wasn’t hurting by the end.
I have 3 main positions I slowly switch between (4 in the right shaped tree).
1. My primary is heels on the stick with toes spread outwards, leaning out.
2. leaning out on the balls of my feet
3. On the balls of my feet with knees against tree, but body still leaning out.
4. Sometimes, if the tree is shaped right, I pull the sit drag all the way below my butt and sit down in it side saddle against the tree. Both legs are on the same side of the tree, my right arm is between the bridge and the tree, and my shoulder is firmly against the tree as well. I can even lean my head against the tether and fall asleep this way.

The fourth position takes JUST the right tree though.

I have gotten pretty practiced at slowly switching between the first 3 positions. I have been able to switch with squirrels staring at me without them alarming. That was the biggest test.
