Leaving a platform?

quick question. I am practicing off a platform in my backyard. Is it ok to leave it on the tree for an extended period of time? Ernie style platform with a lone wolf strap

I think it would be fine, depends on what you are considering extended periods of time.

Really just a few days is the time span I’m looking at. Practice at home during the week and taking it to the hunting property on the weekend. ...

The saddle hunter map may get you close but the area is heavily land mined by the dogs haha

Couple days wont hurt it. Just be careful not to forget about it...

The only real concern would be leaving the strap out in the elements. But like I said a day or two shouldn't hurt it.

I left mine out all season last year, but I always checked to make sure it was tight when I returned before stepping on it. Also, I was always tethered in before I stepped on it.

No different than leaving a loc on or ladder stand up all year. Just tether in and check the strap before standing on it. I would leave it up before leaving my sticks in the woods for sure. Most guys couldn’t get to it to steal it so the only worry would be weather and squirrels

If I don't sell mine I'm going to leave them in trees I hunt more frequently or when I hunt close to bedding in the am. Private land. I have two Ernie style platforms.

Yeah, that's cool if you don't have a ton of money in them. I'm selling some stuff to justify other stuff. Lol
I'm having fun though.
