Lighter carabiners?

Hey all I’m curious about investing in a couple of lighter carabiners to replace the two that came with my Kestrel. Not that they are extremely heavy but the weight adds up quick as I hunt in mountain country. So of course I’m looking to get something lighter in weight, rated appropriate, and I prefer auto locking.
Just wondering what your insight may be.
Thanks again,
DATM

Locking or non locking? check out black diamond, metolius, and camp wire gates if non-locking they should be anywhere between 19 and 28g. DMM and BD both have a couple good lockers that are light. Keep in mind if you are mixing aluminum biners with steel loops, or steel anything where they are binding you need to check your gear regularly. Steel rubbing *can* create excessive wear on aluminum....

Sliding gate auto locker....good luck, youre gping to find it to be a pain, though I believe it is a key hole style gate, which are nice as ropen slide in and out easily.

I have found that carabiners with a full round profile tend to work better with the ropeman than the flat ones. The both work, but the full round shape allows you to use a smaller rope.

Here's a really good deal on a mammut micro d($8.21) weighing only 1.79 OZ: https://www.backcountry.com/mammut-wall-micro-locking-carabiner
I like offset d-shaped as well, rope seem to settle in best and away from gate making it easiest to clip and unclip-though I always have at least one pear incase I need to tie a clove hitch to shorten up a tether, or adjust anything. Shape totally depends on use and where you want the load to sit.

I like it. I may get 1 for my tether. I would like one more round for my Ropeman 1 on my linesman
