LIVE from the saddle 2023

Can you actually see through the peep at full draw?
It's not as high as it looks, Bow was tilted forward resting on a branch. That base of the tree in front of me was 10-15' down slope of the one I was in. Wind never stopped. Didn't even see a squirrel today but I got to use some presents from the Love of my Life (hand muff and arctic shield boot covers), so all in all it was a good day but cold.

It looks high and 180 degrees out of alignment. It didnt look like the d loop was going to rotate it into good position either. Hate you didnt see anything but warm hands and feet are a great thing!!

Thanks for the concern
Just measured. Center of D loop to center of peep 5 3/4". D loop twist everything right into place, though these progressive bifocals are more of an issue than peep twist. Replaced string after last season and shoot almost everyday (6 yards in the basement). The position bugged me at first but after 10 months of shooting it is what it is, and it just rolls into place. Not seeing anything has become the norm this season, but you're right about the hands and feet. Windchill was about 25 with steady 17mph N winds.

My old compound was like that. At rest the peep and d loop were off, a lot. But at full draw it was aligned. Doesnt matter if nothing shows up to shoot at though, lol. Had plenty of those days too. 17 mph north wind has a lot of suck in it.

Nice afternoon....50s

IMG_6089.jpegI’m up against the clock here, have to leave for a wedding, but a few hours in the tree was better than skipping hunting completely and being mad I didn’t go. Figure I’ve got about 15 minutes left until the wife is nervous and 45 until it’s a quiet 3 hour car ride angry. Personally I’ve never really minded the peace and quiet while I drive anyway.

Am I the only one that was hoping for a "I just shot a deer" update at about the 43-44 minute mark?

First time out in almost two weeks and first time I’ve needed mid layers. Now if the wind would settle down and the deer show up I’d be happy. 3 little dry creeks meet to my right and beds and fresh sign around me
